Whitehorse Vista nestles on the outskirts of the popular village of Sutton Poyntz overlooking the white chalk etching of King George III riding out of Weymouth. You are just a 5 minute walk to the village itself which sports a pretty village pond where the water trickles and ducks laze around and a popular local pub that provides food and has a large garden and children's play area. Around a 5 minute drive takes you into Weymouth with its shops, restaurants and golden, sandy beaches or ditch the car and take on of the many footpaths and discover Bowleaze Cove or Lulworth Cove and Durdle Door.
The accommodation at Whitehorse Vista comprises of a large lounge with patio doors to the garden, large flat screen TV, DVD player and WiFi. The attached dining room has table and chairs and double doors leading outside. There is a large kitchen/breakfast room equipped with a fridge/freezer, washing machine, tumble dryer and dishwasher (the utility area is in the garage). There is also a second lounge with additional flat screen TV and DVD player. Bedroom one is on the ground floor and is arranged as a double and there is a cloakroom with basin and toilet. Up to the first floor where there are three further bedrooms arranged as a double with en-suite, bunk room with top single bed and lower double bed and a twin room with en-suite shower room. The family bathroom has a bath, basin and toilet. A cot can be provided.
Outside is the garden with patio and lawned areas complete with table and chairs. There is off road parking for three medium sized cars. Your fuel, power, bed linen and towels are all included in the price.
If you thought about the quintessential English village you may well have found it in Sutton Poyntz. With many old thatched cottages, a pond with bench seats under the weeping willows with ducks expectantly waiting for some bread to be thrown, a village hall and a church hall and a pub, The Sprinhead, Sutton Poyntz has everything you would expect. Aside from The Sprinhead pub in the heart of the village there are two other pubs within walking distance, The Spice Ship and The Bridge. Being pretty much on the edge of Weymouth, however, you will never have a problem with choice - the possibilities are almost endless. There are no shops actually in Sutton Poynts but two convenience stores very close by along Preston Road.
There are many events organised throughout the year from plant sales and a scarecrow competition to a village barbecue and a cream tea afternoon. If you need to work off some calories after such an event there are plenty of walks on your doorstep with great views over the Osmington White Horse and the Jurassic Coastline along the Dorset coast.Read less
