Head out of the door from the kitchen into the enclosed patio area complete with a bistro-style table and chairs for you to sit with your morning cup of tea or coffee. Unwind with a good book or just enjoy spending time with your loved ones over an evening glass of wine in the cool air.

The bedrooms are on the first floor along with the bathroom with bath, shower over, basin and WC, with both bedrooms housing a double bed and enjoying a light and airy feel.

Upwey sits at the foot of the Wey Valley's chalk hills with the source of the River Wey running through the village, home to the famous Wishing Well and surrounded by beautiful gardens and flowers. The property sits opposite the majestic St Lawrence Church where parts of the tower date back to the 12th century and internally you will see some superb murals on its church walls. There are many footpaths in the village which offer walks up through the scenic hills and countryside and nearby pubs serving delicious home-cooked food and local ales.

Weymouth's award-winning golden sandy beach and busy fishing harbour are only a 10 minute car or bus ride away. Here you will find an array of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants along with many activities for a traditional day at the seaside. Wishing Well Cottage is a perfect and quaint cottage ideal for a relaxing break in a peaceful location whilst still being close to the busier scene of Weymouth town centre.

Upwey is a very picturesque village. With the beautiful countryside surrounding the village, you could easily forget that Weymouth is so close. The Upwey Wishing Well has been a tourist attraction from Victorian times. It remains so to this day with a tea room serving home-made cakes and home-cooked food. Surrounded by ornamental gardens and the river, and of course, the well itself.

Upwey has 2 pubs in the village The Old Ship Inn and The Royal Standard, who brew their own ales. Island Garden Nurseries is a must for keen gardeners, full of plants and friendly advice. Take a seat on the bench by the stream and breathe in the fresh country air.
